The Courant Fund for Children
Every child and young person should be able to enjoy a happy, healthy and stimulating childhood. Sometimes family, health or financial problems can get in the way, depriving children of the everyday activities and resources that so many of us enjoy.
Based in Edinburgh, The Courant Fund provides grants to assist children and young people (up to the age of 18 years) in the Lothians, who face poverty, ill-health or other difficulties.
During the last ten years the Fund has provided more than 350 grants to around 90 different organisations, responding to applications from professionals who work with children. Each year, the Fund supports a diverse range of applications, with priority given to requests for individuals in particularly challenging circumstances.
Apply for Funding
If you are a healthcare, education or social work professional, or have direct contact with Lothian children through your work, you can apply for funds that will help to improve the lives of young people in difficult situations, as well as giving children opportunities that they may not otherwise have had.

“Without the support of trusts like The Courant Fund for Children we simply could not provide our vital services to our clients. Your donation will have a direct, positive impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in our society and we are very grateful for your support.”
